Abolition: TEH ENDINGS

This journal is for those of you who have read Abolition and wish to know the ending. If you don’t know wtf Abolition is, or if you haven’t finished reading it, then this journal is not for you. Unless you like spoilers. ]:
--Also. Sorry it's so long, I meant for it to be really short and to the point, but you know me, I always get carried away when I write about my characters.

Kara said I should just write a journal about the ending. XD So I am, but one day I WILL write a decent epilogue. I promissseee. Most of the details I made up by myself [mainly just the crap that happens to Pan and Leo] but Kara is the one who chose Hazel’s ultimate fate…[so that’s why it’s so sad, LOL, she doesn’t think Hazel deserves happiness. Meanie]. This is just how I see the story ending. Since Abolition has an official ‘open’ ending, you guys can really choose what you want to happen to the remaining characters. This is just how I see it goin’ down. Ol’ Karakabob might even have a different view. This is just Kasei-vision.

End of chapter 20 — Hazel blows up a military building, so Pandora and Leo can escape. She is assumed dead.

Continuation

Pandora and Leo get out of England as soon as they can. They stay in Scotland for a while, where Pandora talks Leo into dying his hair brown, so he won’t stand out as much. After a few weeks, they steal a boat and head to Northern Ireland. Pandora dyes her hair burgundy. Leo doesn’t understand why. They move around Ireland for a few months, never staying in one place too long. They head back into the UK when they hear the UCLR has officially flown their white flag. Most of the military is stationed in the UCLR now. By this time, a year and a few weeks have passed.

Leo and Pan’s relationship is strained; from the stress of running and from the fact that they just aren’t a compatible couple. Pan’s too affectionate. Leo’s too… not affectionate. Pan needs to be told she’s loved on a daily basis. Leo hasn’t even said he loved her yet. Ethan’s death hit him harder than he’d ever planned for, and, if he HAD to be honest, he’s scared to love her. And, thus, he doesn’t—and Pandora knows this, which makes her extremely sad, considering how much she loves him.

In the UK, Leo and Pan are stopped by Zachery, who, it turns out, quit the military so he could stay in England. When Pandora asked him how he knew them, he smiled and said “I saw your face—I recognized it right away.” He also says that they had been officially declared dead, and that it was, more or less, safe for them.

After Zach treats them to dinner, Leo pulls him aside and asks him to ‘keep an eye’ on Pandora, because he’s leaving. He agrees without question, and Leo tells Pan goodbye. She didn’t know it then, but it would be the last time she’d see him. He moves back to Ireland, but his story is best saved for another time... [edit: see my reply to Wowiie's comment for the rest of Leo's story]

The night Leo leaves, Zach takes Pan back to his apartment. He says he has a surprise for her. He sits her down in his living room and then goes upstairs. Not five minutes pass before a girl comes running down the steps. Even with her longer hair and burnt skin, Pandora immediately knows it’s Hazel. Tears and hugs ensue. Later, Zach tells Pan he pulled a half-dead Hazel from the wreckage. He told his superior officers she was dead and secretly took her to a hospital tent, where he cleaned up her burns and pumped her full of painkillers and antibiotics. He said she was sick for a long time, in both body and mind, and still never really spoke much. After the war ended and the European troops moved, Zach got an apartment in the more modernized London camp, a place he shares with Haze.

A few months pass. Pandora moves in with Zach as well, sharing a room and bed with Hazel, until a relationship with Zach sparks up, leading to a room switch. Hazel isn’t as talkative as she used to be, but Zach tells Pandora “She talks more now that you’re here. She’s happy to have you back, to know that you’re not dead, too.” Hazel has night-terrors most nights, and Pan calms them as best as she can, with cuddles and friendly whispers of love, when she isn’t otherwise occupied with Zach.

More months pass. Hazel gets better, happier, has less demons that haunt her nights, and eventually she gets her own apartment, a few doors down from Zach. She still comes over often, and on the days she doesn’t, Pandora goes to sit with her while Zach works. Hazel’s the first one to find out when Pandora gets pregnant and she’s there when Pan tells Zach.

Pandora is six months pregnant when Zach comes home with bad news— Pippa is dead. His proof is a newspaper clipping, with a tiny picture of a slightly-older Pip and her obituary beneath it. Bus accident, it says. They decide not to tell Hazel; what she didn’t know couldn’t hurt her, and she’d be better off if she thought Pippa was alive and well.

Hazel inevitably finds out about two months later, when she accidentally stumbles upon the newspaper clip while looking for something for Pandora. It’s safe to say she doesn’t take it well, but she hides her knowledge from both Pan and Zach.

When Pandora doesn’t see Hazel for a few days, and gets no answers when she knocks at her door, she grows worried. Zach offers to pick the lock of her apartment to make sure she’s okay. Inside, upstairs in her closet, they find Hazel stung up by a rope with a note tucked into her pocket: “Decided it was time to go see Cami, Sam and Pip. Don’t be sad Pan—we’ll see each other again someday. Promise to watch over you guys as much as I can.”

The rest is, for me, a bit fuzzy.

I could see Pandora going into premature labor at the loss of Hazel, from seeing her dead, and from the sheer amount of ANGER she had rushing through her at her suicide [“DIDN’T THAT BITCH KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVED AND NEEDED HER. MAN. IF SHE WASN’T DEAD I’D FUCKIN’ KILL HER FOR THIS.”] but that the baby, a boy, would end up okay, just a little frail for the first few months. They’d name him Ezekiel, Zeke for short [because… I had a dream about a boy named Ezekiel and I fell IN LOVE with it for some reason. I honestly don’t know what I would name my son. Alexander used to be at the top, but now I already HAVE an Alex, and also that name is sadly very popular now. :C]. Zach and Pan would be good, if not a little silly at times, parents, and in a few more years they might have another kid. They’d never get married, because Pandora thinks that would ruin their relationship, and Zach pretty much goes with whatever Pandora wants. He would marry her, though, if she wanted it.

As for the rest… they get old and die? LOL, or who knows. It feels odd to plan out their WHOLE life, I never do that with oc’s. :/ I’ll just stop there, you guys had enough. And as for Haze’s note, uhhh, I made it up on the spot, LOL, I really have no idea what she’d put. I really wanted to put “Went on a vacation with Jesus. Ttyl.” But I knew that was wayyy too unserious for the subject, ffffffft. I also left out how truly EMOOO Pan was after Leo left. That's best saved for a one-shot, I do believe.

Haha, I’d love to know how YOU guys saw it ending, but I suppose if you told me, that’d be a long-ass comment. Sooo..

That’s it. 8D

OH. ONE MORE THING. One year ago, to this very day, I created Liathen. He’s officially a year old. :’D Just thought I would share that, when I realized it yesterday I was so baffled, because I didn’t realize he was that old. I need to get to work on Velleity soon…

Love you guys, <3

Kasei: ...Are you sitting in front of a fan?
    Kara: No.
Kasei: All I hear is, like, air blowing.
Kara: Oh, that's just the sound of my penis breathing.

:'DDD YAY. I'm glad you liked it! Haha, it was fun to write it this way. LOL. Frucking.

Well, Leo's ending... Hmm. I feel like he would stay in Ireland for the next couple of years. I can see him eventually taking care of a younger boy, like he did with Ethan, but not letting himself get too close. He'd have lovers, no doubt, but nothing permanent. He'd grow restless with such a mundane life... and would prolly join the military, maybe in his early 30's. I think he'd die in his late 40's, a training accident, or some type of explosion, chemical, maybe. The thing about Leo is, he never cared about living a long life. He cared about living an exciting, meaningful life.

The romantic part of me would like him to go back to the UK, maybe around 29-30, to find Pandora. He'd see her, with kids and Zach at her arm, and decide not to say anything.
LOL. Now I feel sad, I hate endings. D':

I know right! I was very surprised, I can't believe it's been thaaat long.

Hahaa, I'm totally loving the term 'frucking' makes me laugh ; P

D'aaw Leo ♥ I can definitely see him joiing the military, something to keep him occupied

BAH, I like your romantic thinking ! It's so sad but, it'd be nice to think he still cared for her 83

I hate it when good things come to an end =[

BUT THAT'S WHAT ONE SHOTS ARE FOR 8D !! ♥

Lol, same, you should definitely use it. XD

Yeah, it is sad. D: And there is a part of me that would like for Leo to always care for Pan, just like she'll always care for him.
